Home-standing Biloxi took a pair of games from Blount High of Mobile, Ala., Monday night to wrap up the pre-Christmas portion of the schedule for both the Indians and Lady Indians.
The Biloxi girls tipped off the evening by doubling up the Lady Leopards 42-21. Freshman center Zaniya Johnson, a 6-foot force inside, enjoyed one of the best games of her year and a half prep career as she posted 24 points, pulled down eight rebounds and blocked five shots in the impressive performance. Aaliyah Davidson chipped in eight points, eight rebounds and four assists to the winning effort, as the Lady Indians moved to a sparkling 14-1 overall.
The Lady Indians are off as they prepare to host their own Holiday Tournament Dec. 28-29th.

The Biloxi boys moved to 11-4 through their first 15 games with a 51-36 win over the Leopards. Reggie Conner tallied 16 points to guide the Indians, while Dayshawn Mcgee added 12 points to the winning effort.
“With new guys on this year’s team and incorporating 12 football players into our basketball team, we have had a decent start but looking for defensive consistency and offensive efficiency I feel our best basketball is ahead of us.” veteran Indians head coach Seber Windham said after the win Monday night.
The game marked the fifth of the season for Biloxi against a team from South Alabama this season, as the Indians have played Davidson High of Mobile twice, Baker High of Mobile, Theodore and Blount. In fact, the Indians were coming off their second win of the season over Davidson after Biloxi beat the Warriors 58-48 Saturday during their own Jackie Laird Classic Tournament. Dayshawn Mcgee scored 18 points to lead the way for the Indians in that win.
