With each team coming off of losses in their latest outing, the Harrison Central boys will host D’Iberville Tuesday night as each team resumes Region 4-7A action after a three-week break.

The Red Rebels come into the game at 2-1 in league play and 11-7 overall and are coming off a 74-59 loss to home-standing Presbyterian Christian one week ago.
In that contest, Presbyterian Christian rode a stout fourth quarter to pull away from Harrison Central 74-59. The Bobcats improved to a solid 17-3 overall.

PCS took command in the second quarter, leading by as many as 10 points in the first half, then weathered a furious comeback by HC, tying the game 49-49 early in the fourth quarter on a 3-point shot by junior Nehemiah Burkett.
But the Bobcats went on a decisive 12-3 run and pulled away at the foul line, converting 9 of 10 free throws in the final two minutes to win handily.
“We just played a really good team that shoots the ball extremely well,” said Red Rebel coach Boo Hardy. “They should go a long way in their state playoffs. We have no excuses; they just outplayed us tonight.”
PCS was 10 of 25 from 3-point range, and was 16 of 18 from the foul line. The Bobcats also took care of the ball, only committing three turnovers – none in the second half.
Aujaylen Barron had 26 points for Harrison Central to lead all scorers, and Shaun Murray added 10 points for the Red Rebels. Senior Turner Vance had 22 points to lead Presbyterian Christian, and senior Cannon Crowder added 15 points for the Bobcats.

D’Iberville was in action over the weekend as the Warriors fell to perennial state power Meridian 44-34 in the third game of the day at the annual Raising Canes Panthers Classic in Pascagoula.
The loss dropped D’Iberville to 7-13 under the direction of head coach Robin Sikes. The Warriors sit at 1-2 in the region race.
Juan Santiago scored nine points to lead the Warriors in the loss to D’Iberville. The Wildcats jumped out to a quick 11-3 lead after one-quarter of play and never trailed. Javontae Carter’s 3-pointer was the lone basket for DHS in that opening frame.
Jordan Jones had a game-high 11 points for Meridian, which is under the direction of former Pascagoula High head coach Ron Normand.
D’Ibervile was coming back from a week-long break after playing three games in the annual Hattiesburg Christmas Tournament. The Warriors broke a four-game losing streak in the final game in the event with a 44-18 win over Richton.
