BILOXI — Just after the Harrison Centrals girls moved into a tie for the top spot in Region 4-7A with a win over Biloxi Wednesday night, their male counterparts took over first place all alone.

“I thought that our team’s defensive play was the key to the victory,” veteran HCHS head coach Boo Hardy said.
The Red Rebels jumped out to a quick 17-9 advantage after the first quarter and never looked back, avenging an earlier 53-39 loss to the Indians a little over a month ago that is Harrison Centra’s only blemish in the loop.
Shaun Murray led HCHS with 12 points in what was a balanced scoring attack, while Nehemiah Barnett chipped in 11 points and Devonnie Bailey added 10 points for the Red Rebels who improve to 14-7 overall.
Reggie Conner tallied a game-high 15 points for the Indians, while Dayshawn Mcgee had 10 points. Biloxi is 16-6 overall.
