The Hancock girls finished off a perfect 10-0 romp through Region 4-6A play with a convincing 51-30 road win at West Harrison Tuesday night.
The win moved the Lady Hawks to 25-1 on the season for the second consecutive year. Hancock closes out regular season action Thursday night on the road at Harrison Central.
In the latest win, Hancock got 12 points apiece from both Talana Bond and Riley Bishop while Brooklyn Cuevas tallied 11 points all of hers coming in the first half alone.
Jaylenn Applewhite led West Harrison with seven points. The Lady Hurricanes finished third in the region race with a 6-4 mark and stand 11-12 overall.

In other Region 4-6A action Tuesday night, Pascagoula also played the part of road warriors with a win at Picayune.
The Lady Panthers retained the second seed in the region race with a 40-35 win over the Lady Tide at Kelly Wise Gym as Pascagoula finished up 8-2 in league play. The Lady Panthers are 12-10 overall.
Picayune led 10-9 at the mid-way point of the second quarter, but Pascagoula closed the first half on an 8-2 run to take a 17-12 lead into halftime.
It was a harbinger of things to come as the Lady Panthers would eventually end up with a win in the end by that five-point margin as well.
Pascagoula’s biggest lead of the game came with just over five minutes to play, when Samaha Jonson dropped in a lay-up and Payton Harmon put home a pair of free throws to put the Lady Panthers up by double digits at 34-24.

Rhyen Goss came alive for Picayune in that final quarter scoring seven points as the Lady Tide mounted a bit of a comeback late in the game. But Pascagoula went eight-for-eight from the free throw line in the frame, including a pair by Massyah Thomas, to seal the win.
Thomas paced Pascagoula with a game-high 18 points, while Johnson added seven points all of which came in the fourth period.
Goss led Picayune with 13 points. The Lady Tide finished tied for fourth in the league standings at 3-7 with Long Beach.
The Lady Bearcats wrapped up region play with a road win as well Tuesday night, beating George County at Rudolph Sellers Gym. The Lady Rebels finished up league play at 0-10.
Regular season play for Long Beach wraps up with a trip to St. Martin Thursday night, while on Friday West Harrison hosts Ocean Springs on Friday night and D’Iberville heads to Picayune on the same day.
Also, Pascagoula hosts arch-rival Moss Point on Friday night, while GCHS travels to Greene County.
