A pair of Region 4-7A schools wrapped up regular season action with three wins late in the week.
Biloxi went on the road and spit with Theodore (Ala.) on Thursday night, while both St. Martin squads swept visiting Long Beach on the same day.
Now all four squads get ready for the Region 4-7A Tournament that gets under way in Ocean Springs Monday afternoon.
In St. Martin on Thursday, the Yellow Jackets picked up their fifth win of the season when Kai Viera converted a contested lay-up at the buzzer for a 39-38 win over the Bearcats.
Vierra took a feed from Tony Mora, whom Long Bech had triple covered at the top of the key, and made the game-winning shot from right underneath the goal.

That climactic ending came just seconds after Long Beach had taken its own one-point lead after Andre Windham picked off a steal for the Bearcats and Wayne Ulrich III converted a put-back to make it 38-37 wit just :15 seconds to play.
Ty’Lah Whitlock tallied a game-high 15 points to guide St. Martin to the win, and he also pulled down seven rebounds while Viera added 10 points and Mora had seven points as the Yellow Jackets moved to 5-20 with the victory.
Ulrich led Long Beach with 10 points while Windham added nine points and Donovan Magee had seven points. The Bearcats stand 5-22 entering the Region 4-6ATournament in Picayune starting Monday.

In the girls’ game, St. Martin slammed Long Beach 56-17 to reach the 20-win mark under second-year head coach Jason Kennedy.
La’Dymien Lafayette had 12 points to pace SMHS, while Jay Robinson added 10 points to the winning effort. St. Martin is now 20-7 overall.
Long Beach got a game-high 13 points from Shania Hope but fell to 9-15 overall with the loss.

Meanwhile, in Alabama on Thursday night, the Biloxi girls avenged one of their four losses on the season with a 30-24 win over Theodore.
Zaniya Johnson, Amari Meredith and Aaliyah Davidson each scored eight points apiece to pace the Lady Indians to the win. Johnson just missed a triple-double as she added 11 rebounds and 10 blocks, as Biloxi moved to 24-4 overall.
In the second game of the night, the Bobcats beat the Indians 52-41. It marked the second win for THS over the Indians this season, after a 50-47 decision at The Biloxi Sports Arena in December.
