Both George County and D’Iberville closed out play in the ninth annual Battle at the Beach by picking up wins over the last two days.
On Friday, the Rebels were one of the only teams to actually avoid the rain and get their game in as they knocked off visiting Briarcrest Christian from Eads, Tenn., 6-4 on a walk-off home run by Andrew Nielsen.
One day prior, the home-standing Warriors tripped up Seminary 4-1 Thursday night.

In D’Iberville, the Warriors put together a three run rally in the bottom of the fifth frame to overcome a 1-0 deficit and pull out the win.
D’Iberville added an insurance run in the sixth stanza just for god measure.
Cannon Wilson’s big two-run double was the key blow for DHS in that decisive fifth frame, while Bransyn White added a double as well and Jaylen Johnson also drove in a run in the winning attack.
The Warriors managed just four hits in the win, but still were able to move to 4-6 overall and bounce back a bit in the BATB after losing its first two games in the action.
Ayden Demoran, one of a trio of D’Iberville pitchers, worked the last two innings to pick up the win.
Tucker Hux had an RBI-double for Seminary’s only run.
The Warriors were coming off a 12-3 loss to Etowah (Ala.) on Wednesday, despite outhitting the visitors 10-6.
Wilson and Dalton Davis had two hits apiece for DHS in that one.

Meanwhile, at Claude Passeau Field in Lucedale Friday night, Nielsen strolled to the plate in the bottom of the seventh with one out and two teammates on base and his squad trailing 4-3.
The senior calmly swatted a shot to right field for the walk off, game-winning blast that sent Rebel Nation into a celebration.
George County actually trailed by two runs, at 4-2, entering its final at bat before Gage Reeves cut the deficit to one with an RBI-single setting up Nielsen’s climactic heroics.
Reeves also drove in another run earlier in the game on a run-scoring ground out. The Rebels got five hits in the win, one each from five different players with Nielsen’s round-tripper the only extra base hit.
Canyon Reeves picked up the pitching win in relief, as the Rebels did a bit of bouncing back of their won to move to 8-1 overall on the season after dropping their first game of the season on Tuesday.
The Rebels were slated to face St. Patrick on Saturday afternoon.
