GAUTIER — Vancleave and Gautier went into Wednesday night’s delayed first game of their three game Region 4-5A series this week almost neck-and-neck in the league standings.

The Gators fall to 2-3 in league action.

Tyler West had a pair of doubles for VHS, while Max Bates added two hits including a double and Hunter Parker joined in the 14-hit parade with a double as well.
Parker picked up the win.

On Thursday night, Vancleave followed up a series-opening 8-7 win the night before with a comfortable 8-1 win.
