Resurrection captured its seven consecutive Region 8-1A title Friday night.
The Eagles went to Brookhaven and beat Enterprise-Lincoln 5-4 in a key league encounter to move to a perfect 10-0 this season in the region race.
Resurrection jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead on RBI-singles from both Carter McCammon and Luke Schnoor in the first frame.
After the Yellow Jackets tied things up with two runs of their own in the third inning, RCS took the lead for good with two more runs in the fourth frame thanks to an RBI-single from Hayden Porter and a run-scoring sacrifice fly from McCammon to make it 4-2. Porter added yet another run-scoring single in the fifth to complete the scoring for the Eagles.
