Pascagoula split with Long Beach and Hancock did the same with West Harrison to wrap up Region 4-6A play over the past few days.
The Bearcats, after falling to the Panthers 5-3 on the road Friday night, picked up their first league win of the season on Saturday afternoon with a 3-2 decision at home.
On Saturday, Long Beach trailed 2-1 entering the bottom of the seventh before rallying for two runs to pull out the win. Landon Van Court supplied an RBI-triple to tie things up and then Wayne Ulrich delivered the game-winning hit with a run-scoring single to plate Van court with the walk-off winning run.
Pascagoula had snapped a 1-1 tie in the top of the seventh when Braden Smith crossed the plate on a ground out double play ball off the bat of Denzel Melendez.
Matt Dittsworth had an RBI-double in the top of the second to put the Panthers up 1-0 before the Bearcats tied things up at 1-1 when Flynn James drew a bases-loaded walk in the sixth stanza setting up the climactic and decisive seventh.
Will Brady went the distance on the hill for LBHS to pick up the win, while Willie Sims took the loss for PHS.
On Friday night, Tank Bishop had two hits and drove in two runs to pace Pascagoula at the plate in the 5-3 win, while Adrian Rosado added a pair of hits as well.
Colin Lyons had the only hit of the game for LBHS, a two-run home run in the top of the first that gave the Bearcats an early 2-0 lead.
From that point, Panther pitcher Griffin Wells settled down and threw hitless ball over the next six stanzas and allowed just one unearned run.
