Biloxi will face Brandon in a do-or-die situation Tuesday night in their opening round Class 7A South State playoff series.
After falling on the road Friday night in game one 7-3, the Indians returned home and knocked off the Bulldogs 5-1 at The Biloxi Sports Arena to force game three. The last game of the series was originally set for Monday night but postponed a day due to weather-related issues.
On Saturday, Biloxi got a complete game pitching performance from Will Miles in the win. Miles allowed only four hits and struck out just two and walked just one in the impressive outing to earn the win.
His teammates bounced back from the loss the night before and gave him all the support at the plate he would need in the bottom of the second stanza with a four run frame. Conner Lofton’s two-run single was the big blow in the uprising, while Forrest Wold drove in a run when he got hit by a pitch with the bases loaded and Logan Fontenelle also drew a bases-loaded walk.

Lofton’s RBI-single in the fourth frame made it 5-0, and the Indians, thanks to Miles, coasted to the win.
Lofton had game-high totals in hits with three and RBIs with three as well. Biloxi managed just five hits, but that was more than enough to secure the win with Miles on the hill.
On Friday night, Brandon broke open a 2-2 tie with a three run rally in the bottom of the fifth to take a lead it would never relinquish.
Fontenelle had two hits to pace BHS at the plate, while he, Lofton and Tristan Haynes each drove in a run. Jackson Irvin had a double for BHS.
Fontenelle started and took the loss.

While Biloxi joins Ocean Springs and Gulfport as members of Region 4-7A that will face a game three this week, Harrison Central saw its season come to an end after Northwest Rankin swept two games from the Red Rebels over the weekend.
The Cougars wrapped up the series with a 2-0 win in Lyman Saturday night. Brady Saxton worked six stanzas to pick up the win as HCHS managed just two hits.
On Friday night in Brandon, Northwest Rankin won game one 7-1. Wes White hurled a two-hit complete game for the Cougars to pick up the win.
The Red Rebels managed just three hits total in the pair of losses as their season came to an end.
