HATTIESBURG — The “Southern Six” didn’t have much success in the overall state softball tournaments this week.
In, fact, none at all.
East Central, Hancock and St. Patrick went a combined 0-6 in their respective chases for state titles. In Class 6A, South Panola swept the Lady Hawks and in Class 5A Corinth did the same to the Lady Hornets.
It was more of the same for the Lady Irish in Class 3A as well, as Mantachie pulled off the sweep also.
But there were six state championship trophies handed out here at The University of Southern Mississippi Softball Complex this week, with one game three remaining on Saturday.

Here is the complete up to date Schedule and results:.
