PEARL — Despite not bringing home a third straight state championship in the smallest classification in the state, Resurrection dominated the First Team Class 1A All-State squad.

The Eagles placed a school-high four players on the Class 1A First Team All-State squad, which was announced here over the weekend at Trustmark Park during the final day of the overall state baseball championships.

Resurrection shortstop Justin San Miguel, pitcher Trace Tingle, catcher Luke Schnoor and Hayden Porter as a Utility player were each named to the Class 1A First Team All-State squad.

In addition, one other Eagle was included on the Second Team.

The Mississippi High School Baseball Coaches All-State Teams for all classes are voted on by coaches around the state who are members of the Mississippi Association of Coaches.
