BRANDON — Sixteen “Southern Six’ soccer standouts will be in action Tuesday night here at the annual Randy West All-Star.
The annual affairs, there will be both a boy’s and girls’ contest, are a part of the Mississippi Association of Coaches Multi Sports Clinic which kicked off Monday.
The girl’s game is up first and is set for 5 p.m., here at Brandon High School. Seven “Southern Six” stalwarts from seven separate schools will suit up for the South squad as they take on the North Team.
Anna Catherine Thriffley will represent state champion St. Patrick in the game, while Gulfport’s Chloe Brock and Nakiya Richardson of Biloxi will also be in action as will Morgan Eleuterius of Long Beach, St. Martin’s Cali Kirkbride, Bay High’s Lauren Feuerstien and Keiran Goodman of Ocean Springs.
The South girls are coached by Todd Siders of Sumrall.

The boys are slated to take the field immediately following the girl’s game at 7 p.m., and nine “Southern Six” standouts will suit up for the South squad.
Both Gulfport and Bay High have a pair of players each in the game, as Christopher Dekle and Cooper Bruni will represent the Admirals while Aiden Boudro and Sawyer Bilbo represent the state champion Tigers. St. Patrick’s Michael Baty, Trey Roche of Pass Christian, Zeke Searcy of East Central, Camden Hayes of Ocean Springs and Oren Doxey of St. Stanislaus also are slated to see action in the game.
The two soccer games are the first of three all-star games that will be played as part of the annual clinic, as the Mississippi Association of Coaches All-Star Volleyball game will take place Wednesday at 6 p.m., also here at Brandon High School.

Former Picayune High baseball standout and current Memphis head coach Matt Riser will be one of the featured speakers at the clinic this week.
The event got underway with golf outings Monday and Tuesday before things really get rolling on Tuesday night as hundreds of high school coaches from all across the state will descend on the Sheraton Hotel in Flowood just outside of Jackson. The Clinic wraps up on Friday.
Sessions will be conducted for participants in as many as a dozen different sports and activities throughout the week. Along with Riser on the baseball side, Louisiana-Monroe head coach Michael Frederico will speak as well.
The biggest name on the docket, though, is new Mississippi State head football coach Jeff Lebby. He will speak Wednesday morning.
Other coaches with ties to the “Southern Six” that will be featured speakers at the clinic this week are George County head football coach James Ray, Meridian head boys basketball coach Ron Normand and Mississippi Gulf Coast head football coach Jack Wright as well Bulldog men head basketball coach Owen Miller and Lady Bulldogs head coach Hope Adams.
