Resurrection’s season came to an end Monday night one step short of a trip to the Class 1A State championship round.
The home-standing Lady Eagles were tripped up by Stringer 3-1, and now Stringer moves on to the state title tilt.
All games in all seven classifications will be played at Mississippi College’s A.E. Wood Coliseum in Clinton on Thursday and Friday. The “Southern Six”, which had eight teams playing for South State titles in six different classifications Monday night, still has four squads left vying for state titles as OLA, East Central, Hancock and Ocean Springs.
