Poplarville maintained the best record in the “Southern Six” and set up a battle for supremacy in Region 8-4A with a big 49-7 win on the road over Bay High at McCulloch Stadium Friday night.
The Hornets moved to 3-0 with the win, and will host Greene County for the top seed in the region race next Friday.

The Wildcats also moved to 3-0 in league play with a 54-19 thumping of visiting Moss Point Friday night. The loss ended the season for the Tigers ate 0-9, and marked the first win-less campaign for once mighty Moss Point in 72 years, since 1952.
