Both Biloxi and D’Iberville secured berths in the upcoming Class 7A South State playoffs with wins Friday night.
The Indians went on the road and held off home-standing Harrison Central 30-23 at Earl Phillips Stadium while the Warriors thumped visiting St. Martin 49-0.

In D’Iberville, both Andre Crosby and Jeremiah Butler ran for two touchdowns apiece to pace the Warriors to the easy win over the arch-rival Yellow Jackets. DHS moves to 5-4 overall and 2-2 in the region race, while SMHS sits at 3-6 overall and 0-4 in the loop as the Yellow Jackets suffered their 16th straight league loss under third year head coach Ty Smith and St. Martin has now dropped 21 consecutive region games.
Crosby ended up with a game-high 100 yards rushing on just 11 carries for DHS with the pair of scores, including a 39-yard scoring scamper that gave the Warriors a commanding 21-0 lead less than a minute into the second stanza.

D’Iberville quarterback Jordan Walley added a 27-yard touchdown toss to Malachi Knight in the winning effort, while Jayquan Havard chipped in a touchdown run as well.
A.J. Miles led the stout Warrior defensive effort with nine total tackles in the solid shutout performance. It marked the sixth straight win for DHS over SMHS in this annual affair.

Meanwhile, in Lyman, Biloxi jumped out to a quick 16-0 lead three minutes into the second quarter and held on for the big win.
The decision moved the Indians to just 4-5 overall but first-year head coach Jamey Dubose’s squad moves to 2-2 in Region 4-7A action. The Red Rebels, also under the direction of a first year mentor in Nekemia Rich, sit at 2-7 overall and 1-3 in the region race.
Biloxi got off to that quick start thanks to a pair of scores from versatile standout Jalen Anderson and he ran eight yards for the first score of the game and then later on raced 44-yards on a catch and run from quarterback Jordan Ramsey. Brody Vinson also added a 32-yard field goal.

The Red Rebels broke into the 16-0 deficit when running back Jakharri McGlothin sprinted 81-yards right up the middle for a touchdown and Parrish Laice added the extra point and then booted a 21-yard field goal in the waning moments of the first half to make it 16-10 at halftime.
But Biloxi quarterback Wyatt Pyron led the Indians on a scoring drive on Biloxi’s first possession of the second half capped off on a 5-yard touchdown toss from Pyron to Jamir Haskins to make it 23-10 and the Indians held off HCHS for the win. Haskins later added a 64-yard scoring dash
