The playoff participants in all seven classifications across the “Southern Six” are set just about set after the dust settled Friday night.
Now, only the seeding remains in some spots for the larger three classes while the postseason begins this week for the lower four classifications.
In Region 3-6A, West Jones beat Pearl River Central 20-7 in Carriere Friday night to finish up the regular season action for the Blue Devils.

Picayune will in all likelihood host Pearl River Central in the opening round of the Class 6A South State playoffs on Friday, Nov. 15th. It will mark the first football game between the two old county rivals in over two years and the first postseason meeting between the two in a decade.
The Maroon Tide wrapped up their fourth straight Region 4-6A championship Friday night with an exciting 27-20 win over visiting George County at Lee-Triplett Stadium.

Meanwhile, in Region 3-6A, both Hattiesburg and West Jones are unbeaten at 3-0 in league action and those two teams will face off next week for the region title and to decide the top two seeds in the region race.
Terry travels to Jackson Forest Hill and a win by the Bulldogs over the Patriots would give them the third seed and PRC would finish fourth and earn that trip about seven miles south down U. S. Hwy 11 in the opening round of the Class 6A South State playoffs.

Forest Hill occupies the basement in the Region 3-6A standings at the moment with an 0-3 mark.

In Class 7A, Ocean Springs, Gulfport, D’Iberville and Biloxi have all qualified for the playoffs.

In Class 6A, Picayune, George County, Pascagoula, Hancock and PRC have all qualified for the playoffs.

In Class 5A, Gautier is the only “Southern Six” squad to have qualified for the playoffs at this point.
In Class 4A, Poplarville, Pass Christian and Bay High have all qualified for the playoffs.

In Class 3A, St. Stanislaus has qualified for the state playoffs.
