BILOXI — The Biloxi boys basketball team had a pretty solid first half of the season.
Now, the Indians hope to keep that impressive worksheet going as they head into a new year.
Biloxi heads into 2025 with a 13-2 overall mark under veteran head coach Seber Windham. The Indians are coming off of a 67-30 thumping of visiting Wayne County Friday in the eighth annual “Lady Indians Christmas Classic” at the Biloxi Sports Complex in their final game of 2024.
Alan Ayala poured in a game-high 22 points for the Indians in the win, as they extended their current win streak to seven games.

In fact, the last two wins by the Indians came at home in impressive fashion in annual affairs, as prior to beating the brakes off of the War Eagles Biloxi stomped visiting Long Beach 58-20 in the annual Jackie Laird Invitation just four days before Christmas.

In that win, Carnellous Lenard scored 13 points to lead Biloxi while Alan Ayala added 10 points to the winning effort. Twelve different players scored for BHS.

Quan Thompson had six rebounds and Kentrell Beasley added six assists for the Indians against the Bearcats.
The week before that win, in yet another one day tournament, Biloxi clipped Washington-Marion of Lake Charles, La., in the “Friendship City Classic” at Long Beach High.
Reggie Magee tallied 18 points, pulled down six rebounds and dished out five assists to pace the Indians in that win, while Alejandro Montalvo chipped in 13 points and grabbed seven boards in the winning effort. Beasley also had five assists.
In addition to that 14-2 overall mark, included in the recent seven game win streak are a trio of wins in league play as the Indians are also 3-0 in Region 4-7A action entering the new year.

After the latest win over Wayne County, Biloxi is off for eight days before traveling to Pascagoula to compete in the annual “2025 Panther Classic” where the Indians will take on Hattiesburg at 7:00 p.m.

The event is a one-day, eight game affair featuring 12 boys teams and four girls squads.
