GULFPORT — The Gulfport boys will put their perfect 3-0 league mark on the line when they travel to Ocean Springs for a big Region 4-7A showdown Tuesday night.

The Admirals are 3-0 and tied atop the region race with Biloxi, while the Greyhounds sit at 2-1 and are looking to take a step up in the standings.

The two teams are coming off different results over the weekend, as Gulfport beat visiting Picayune 56-42 Friday night while OSHS fell to defending Class 7A state champion Meridian.

The game was the fifth of eight in the 16th annual “Panther Classic” Saturday here at Pascagoula High School.

Jacolby Bailey led the Greyhounds in scoring with 18 points. Jeremie Packer finished with six points.

Demonte Powe led Meridian with 22 points, including five 3-pointers. Jozyreun Horne finished with eight points and Deontae Hopper with seven points.
