LYMAN — Even hosting an historic event for the first time ever in program history couldn’t stop Harrison Central’s recent slide Saturday.
Pass Christian thumped the home-standing Red Rebels 61-35 in the penultimate game of “HoopsFest 2025” to extend Harrison Central’s current losing streak to seven games.
Landon Hall tallied a game-high 18 points to pace the Pirates to the win, which moved first-year head coach Robin Skies’ squad to a solid 17-8 overall on the season.

Meanwhile, the Red Rebels drop to 7-15 on the season entering the final week of play in the current campaign.
Hall, who was recently selected to play in the Mississippi North/South All-Star Game for rising seniors, wasted no time in setting the tone for PCHS as he dropped in eight points in the first frame thanks to a pair of 3-pointers and the Pirates doubled up the Red Rebs 12-6 after one period.
Things just kept getting worse for HCHS as the second quarter got started as Hall had five more points as did Lathan Lewis with each accounting for a triple also and the Pirates suddenly led by double digits at 29-14 heading into halftime.

The lone bright spot in the first half for the home team was the play of big man Shaun Murray, who scored nine of the Red Rebel’s total points on a trio of treys.
Harrison Central found no magic potion to reverse its misfortunes at intermission, as Pass Christian continued to extend its advantage and once again doubled up HCHS at 45-22 to end the third frame.
Hall and Bailey drained 3-pointers in the final period for PCHS as it cruised to the comfortable win.

In addition to Hall’s 18 points, Pass Christian got 10 points from center Jonathan Jackson in the win.
Murray paced HCHS with 11 points.
It marked the first time ever that Harrison Central hosted “HoopsFest”
