With yet another regular season on the hardwood in prep basketball actin winding down this week, it’s time to look ahead and see where all of the postseason action will tip off beginning early next week.

Here are the 2024-2025 MHSAA Basketball District Tournament sites. District tournaments will take place the week of Feb. 3-8.

Region 2: Neshoba Central

Region 3: Riverside

Region 4: Sebastopol

Region 6: St. Andrew’s

Region 7: Loyd Star

Region 8: Richton

CLASS 1A

Region 1: Wheeler

Region 2: Falkner

Region 3: Potts Camp

Region 4: West Lowndes

Region 5: West Bolivar

Region 6: Velma Jackson

Region 7: Stringer

Region 8: Salem

—The top four qualifiers from each region tourney will qualify for the state playoffs, which begin for Class 4A-1A on Feb. 10-11 with first round play and then the three higher classifications in Class 7A-5A following suit a few days later on Feb. 15-16 as the four lower classification continue as well. All of these games will be played on campus,

The survivors of all of those contests will move on to the South and North state quarterfinal round. Here are the sites and dates for that round on Feb. 22-23rd:

Mississippi Valley State (Class 7A North, Class 6A North, Class 5A North).

Jackson State (Class 1A South, Class 2A South, Class 3A South).

Itawamba Community College (Class 4A North, Class 2A North).

Northeast Mississippi Community College (Class 3A North, Class 1A North).

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College (Class 7A South, Class 6A South).

Pearl River Community College (Class 5A South, Class 4A South).

The Final Four in every classification, as usual, is set for the “Big House” as state tiles will once again be handed out at The Mississippi Coliseum in Jackson.
