LEAKESVILLE — Both the Moss Point boys and the Pass Christian girls clinched spots in the upcoming Class 4A South State playoffs with wins on Monday night.

The Tigers thumped Poplarvile 71-39 and the Lady Pirates also took down the Poplarille girls 42-26. Both games took place here at Greene County High School on the campus of Greene County High School, which is hosting the annual Region 8-4A Tournament.

Moss Point, the fourth-seed, now moves on to play top-seed Pass Christian at 5:30 Tuesday night.

Pass Christian moves into the semifinal round as well on the girls’ side of the ledger and will meet top-seed Moss Point at 7 p.m., Tuesday night. The Lady Pirates are also the fourth seed
