PASS CHRISTIAN — The next “Southern Six” Senior Spotlight sponsored by Reese’s of the school year is Pass Christian’s Brendan Necaise.
Each week throughout the school year, we here at SouthMiss6 Sports will highlight a senior student/athlete in the “Southern Six” to honor.

Necaise, a Pearl River Community College commit, came up big both at the plate and on the mound for Pass head coach Ricky Smith and the Pirates this week in a three game sweep of neighboring rival Bay High as Region 8-4A play began.

On Tuesday night, in an 8-4 PCHS win, Necaise delivered a pair of hits and drove in two runs and he also came on to pitch the final two innings to seal the decision.

Then, Thursday night, he had two more hits and an RBI as the Pirates won by a touchdown at 13-6.

Finally, Friday night, Necaise took matters into his own hands, as with his arm he tossed a complete game performance striking out 13 and walking none in picking up the pitching win and also slapped a solo home run in a close 3-2 PCHS win.

For over a decade now, Reese’s® Peanut Butter Cups has been the title sponsor of The Senior Bowl played annually in Mobile, Ala.

The Reese’s Senior Bowl is widely regarded as the preeminent college football all-star game and the first stage in the NFL Draft process. The longest continual-running all-star game has taken place in Mobile, Alabama the past 75 years.  More than 900 NFL personnel, including key decision-makers from all 32 teams, and over 1100 media members from around the country were credentialed this year. This past April, the game produced 110 total picks, representing 43 percent of the entire NFL draft.
