Both Ocean Springs and Harrison Central picked up wins in their Region 4-7A openers this week.

The Greyhounds bombed Biloxi 18-3 in five innings. while the Red Rebels clipped St. Martin 6-4.

In Biloxi, visiting Ocean Springs led 8-3 entering the fifth frame before erupting for a 10 spot to end the game prematurely.

Nicholls State signee Cannon Hensarling collected three hits and drove in four runs and Jeremy Korn had three hits as well, including a double, and drove in two runs for the Greyhounds. Adam Clower had two hits and drove in four runs in the winning attack. JayVon Williams added two hits and drove in a pair of runs as well while A.J. Arguello also had two hits including a double and an RBI and Jack Jordan chipped in two hits and drove in a pair of runs.

Jordan started and went the first four frames for OSHS to earn the pitching win.

Wyatt Pyron started for Biloxi and took the loss with just over four innings of work as well.

Connor Lofton had an RBI-triple for the Indians offensively, while Gage Dalferes had a run-scoring double as well.

Both teams meet again in Ocean Springs Friday night before returning to Biloxi Saturday afternoon.

Meanwhile, in St. Martin, Harrison Central also went on the road and picked up a region win to open league play.

Bryan Travis recorded two hits and drove in two runs for the Red Rebels, while Kaynen Beard had a double and drove in two runs for HCHS.

Noah Jenner had two hits and drove in a run for the Yellow Jackets.

Jaxson Moore went four frames on the hill, striking out seven and walking three, in picking up the pitching win. He also supported himself a bit at the plate with an RBI-single.

Lincoln Hust pitched four innings for the home team and took the loss.

Both teams reconvene in Lyman Friday night.
