BILOXI — For the first time in almost two years, D’Iberville has won three straight region games.
The visiting Warriors rallied for two runs in the top of the seventh inning Tuesday night to take an exciting 8-7 win over neighborhood rival Biloxi in Region 4-7A play. The win pushed D’Iberville to 3-4 in league play, while the Indians fall to 2-5.

The Warriors were coming off two wins over Harrison Central last week to wrap up that series. Tuesday’s win gives DHS three straight wins in the region race for the first time since sweeping St. Martin in the first full week of April in 2023.
The two teams were knotted up at 6-6 entering the final frame of regulation play Tuesday night, but Cannon Wilson delivered a two-out, two-run double to provide the decisive runs for DHS.

Tristan Haynes replied with an RBI-single for the Indians in the bottom of the inning, but it wasn’t enough to keep Biloxi from losing in the last stanza by one run for the second time in the past three games.
Ayden Demoran had two hits and drove in two runs for the Warriors in the win, while Jaxon Harris added two hits, including a double, and had an RBI also. Wilson had that that two-run double as well.
Wilson also picked up the pitching win after recording just two outs in the bottom of the sixth, before Ayden Toncrey tossed the seventh to earn a save.

Wyatt Pyron started and worked the first six stanzas for Biloxi, before Brody Ngyuen relieved him in the seventh and suffered the loss.
Haynes and Lleyton Gunter each had two hits and an RBI apiece for the Indians, while Gunter, Adam Rugg and Jaxon Irvin each had a double.
Game two in the three game series is set for Friday night in D’Iberville.
