Although the win on Saturday only salvaged the final game of the series for D’Iberville against league-leading Ocean Springs, the decision could turn out to be the biggest of the season so far for the Warriors.

Home-standing D’Iberville snapped an early 2-2 tie with OSHS with three unanswered runs to end the contest and pull out a key 5-2 win in Region 4-7A action. The win leaves the Warriors all alone in third place at 5-4 in the region race entering the final week of the regular season and of league play.

Caleb Smith picked up the pitching win with four scoreless innings of relief work for DHS.

Demoran also had a double for the Warriors in the win, while Naron had two hits and two RBIs and both West and Jaylan Johnson added two hits each also.
