Things got a bit more jumbled up in Region 4-7A Tuesday night.

At least at the bottom of the standings.

Harrison Central snapped an eight game league losing streak with an 11-7 win over suddenly slumping Biloxi. That win moves the Red Rebels into a tie for fifth place in the region race as each team stands at 4-9 with two games to play in the regular season.

The Red Rebels erased an early 1-0 deficit with an eight run rally in the bottom of the second stanza to take complete command and roll to the win.

Jaxson Moore’s two-run double was the big blow for HCHS in the frame, while Kolton Beard added a two-run single as well.

Beard and Bryan Travis each had two hits apiece in the winning effort for the Red Rebels.

Moore picked up the pitching win with five frames of work.

Wyatt Pyron started and couldn’t get out of that second stanza uprising to take the loss for the Indians.

Jaxon Irvin, Bryk Bucklar and Leyton Gunter each had two hits apiece for Biloxi, as it out-hit HCHS 10-7 in the losing effort. One of Irvin’s hits was a double.

The two teams meet again in Biloxi on Thursday night and wrap things up Friday afternoon back in Biloxi.

Currently, both HCHS and Biloxi are sitting on the outside looking in the playoff chase in Region 4-7A. St. Martin beat D’Iberville 8-7 Tuesday night to draw even with the Warriors into third place each at 5-8 in the region race.

Sean Stigletts had three hits to pace the Yellow Jackets offensively, while Noah Jenner had two hits and drove in a game-high three RBIs.

Jonathan Baughmn picked up the win with four frame of solid relief work. Lincoln Hust came on to record a save getting the final two outs after DHS scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh to cut the deficit to the final score.

Corbin Smith took the loss.

These two teams also meet again Thursday night in St. Martin and Friday afternoon in D’Iberville. If either sweeps the final two games, then that team earns the third seed.
