LYMAN — Biloxi waited until the very last minute of the regular season to qualify for the playoffs.
The Indians went on the road Friday and knocked off Harrison Central 10-4. Biloxi earned the fourth and final seed in Region 4-7A for postseason purposes thanks to that win and St. Martin’s sweep of D’Iberville.
“Really pleased with how we played on the back end of this week in all three phases of the game,” BHS head coach Hawtin Buchanan said. “It’s a testament to our guys for continuing to fight, and finding a way to finish the regular season strong and get into the postseason.”
The Indians also beat the Red Rebels at home Thursday night 10-0 to set the climactic stage for the regular season finale Friday.

In that rubber match, the teams were knotted up at 4-4 entering the sixth stanza before Biloxi rallied for three runs in each of the final two stanzas to pull out the win.
Jaxon Irvin’s two-run single in that decisive sixth was the key hit for BHS. He also added an RBI-single in the seventh to end the scoring.
Irvin’s two hits and three RBIs led the Indians at the plate.

Brody Nguyen tossed three frames of relief to earn the win. Bryk Bucklar started and went the first four.
Jayden Cooper had a game-high three hits, including two doubles, for HCHS while Bryan Travis added a pair of hits and two RBIs. Jaxson Moore also had an RBI-double.
Bubba Harris took the loss.
On Friday night, Gage Dalferes wielded the big stick for Biloxi as he collected a game-high three hits and a game-high six RBIs in the 10-0 win. Both Connor Lofton and Tristan Haynes added two hits apiece to the winning attack also.

Indian hurler Shawn Miguel Gollott produced a masterpiece on the mound when Biloxi really needed it, as he tossed a complete game one-hitter striking out four.
Parrish Laiche took the loss.
Harrison central won the opening game of the series Tuesday night putting Biloxi on the verge of elimination from the playoff chase.
