The next “Southern Six” Senior Spotlight sponsored by Reese’s of the school year is Sean Stiglets of St. Martin.
Each week throughout the school year, we here at SouthMiss6 Sports will highlight a senior student/athlete in the “Southern Six” to honor.

Stiglets, a versatile senior standout for the Yellow Jackets who sees time mostly at second base, produced one of the biggest weeks of his career this week at just the right time as he helped St. Martin sweep arch-rival D’Iberville in three straight games to clinch its first-ever trip to the Class 7A state playoffs.
Thursday night, in a 9-4 home win over the Warriors that secured the playoff spot, Stiglets collected a game-high three hits including a double and he drove in two runs.
He began the series also with a game-high three hits in a close 8-7 road win over DHS on Tuesday.
Then, in the regular season finale on Friday afternoon, St. Martin thumped the Warriors 12-3 and Stiglets had two hits and two RBIs.
Stiglets and SMHS will face Brandon in the opening round of the upcoming Class 7A South State playoffs next week.
