The trio of “Catholic league” prep baseball squads in the “Southern Six” all face game three situations in their respective south state playoff brackets on the road Tuesday night.

That’s thanks to all three staving off elimination by posting home wins on Monday night.

In Class 1A, Noxapater traveled to Pascagoula and Resurrection registered an easy 11-0 win to force a game three. The Tigers won game one of the series Saturday at home 5-4.

But game two was all Eagles. More specifically, game two was too much Cortez King.

King, just an eighth grader, smacked a pair of home runs for RCS and collected a game-high three hits and a game-high four RBIs.

King smacked a two-run homer in the fourth frame and added another two-run round-tripper in the sixth stanza to end the game prematurely.

Quinn Inabinette added a two-run home run of his own and drove in three runs total, while Joseph Foster had two hits including a double in the winning effort. Drew Johnson also had two hits.

Wyatt Schnoor went the distance on the mound to earn the win, tossing a two-hitter.

Game three is back in Noxapater tonight.

Meanwhile, in Biloxi Monday night, St. Patrick kept it’s season alive with rallying for a 4-3 walk off win over Seminary in Class 3A South State playoff action.

Eli Bowen’s RBI-ground out plated Ayden Le with the game-winning run in the bottom of the seventh.

Bowen’s two hits and two RBIs led the Fighting Irish at the plate, while both Gunner Eure and B.C. Stoddard each posted a double in the win

Jacob Alexander came up big for the second playoff game in a row for SPHS on the mound, as he hurled a complete game three-hitter striking out nine to earn the win.

Seminary, which won game one 6-5 Saturday, hosts the rubber match Tuesday night.
