PEARL — Two different teams from Jackson County combined to win the last three Class 5A state baseball championships before that streak was snapped this season.
That still didn’t stop didn’t stop a pair of East Central products as well as two more from Vancleave in picking up all-state honors this year however.


Hunter Harper and Martin Shaw of the Bulldogs and Anthony Tanner and Jaxon Cripps of the Hornets earned the honors, as all four were named Class 5A Second Team All-State as selected annually by members of the Mississippi Association of Coaches.
Here are the members of both the first and second teams:
