BAY ST. LOUIS — In 2010, the Rock-A-Chaws ruled Class 4A when they swept Amory in two games at Trustmark Park in Petal.
The win capped probably the most successful school year in athletic history at SSC, as the Rocks also won the Class 4A state football championship and finished as state runner-up to Bay High in basketball.
St. Stanislaus wrapped up the state crown with a dominating 6-0 win over the Panthers in game two on Thursday, May 27th 2010. That win, combined with an exciting 5-4 victory in game one two days before, capped an impressive 26-3 season for SSC.
A five member senior class of Boomer Scarborough, Krisjohn Wilkerson, Justin Vaughan, Michael Gemelli and Xander Romano propelled SSC to its first state title on the diamond that season.

“Before the game, I told the five seniors that I hoped this would be their last sporting event at St. Stanislaus,” then SSC head coach Mark Logan told reporters that day. “We had great leadership from the seniors and the underclassmen set good examples all year.”
Vaughan produced the complete game shutout pitching performance in the season finale, scattering just four hits and striking out five in the process as he finished the season undefeated on the hill at 7-0.
He missed a month of the season with a broken hand as well.
“For him to shut out this team was amazing,” Logan added. “Great performance.”
Wilkerson had a pair of RBI-ingles in the contest, while SSC stretched a 1-0 lead into a commanding 5-0 advantage in the sixth stanza thanks to two-run double from Romano and a two-run single by Mitch Theologos.

In game one, Bo Brennan’s bunt single in the sixth completed a 4-0 comeback and gave SSC a 5-4 win.
Jacob Lindgren’s two-run double started the come-from-behind effort and Theologos added a two-run single also, all in support of Scarborough who overcame a rough early start to earn the pitching win and finish 12-1 on the mound that season. He struck out nine in the game one win.
The Rocks won 19 out of their last 20 games on their march to the state title. Included in that span was an 8-1 mark in the playoffs with just a loss to Northeast Jones in the opening round the lone blemish.
St. Stanislaus then swept through Magee and West Lauderdale to wrap up the Class 4A South State title before treating Amory the same way to secure the state crown.
