The new prep volleyball season bounces into week two this week.

Perennial state power OLA made the biggest splash in the first week of the new season after the defending Class 3A state champs won the 2025 MHSAA Mississippi Volleyball Invitational Tournament Gold Bracket Championship in Jackson by knocking off Class 7A power Brandon 2-0 (25-21, 25-18).
OLA is 6-2 entering this week.
Over the weekend, Harrison Central won the Lady Gator Tournament at Gautier High School. The Lady Red Rebels are undefeated on the young campaign at 7-0 entering this week.

George County enjoyed a big week last week as the Lady Rebels went on the road and pulled out an exciting five set match over Gulfport Tuesday night before returning home to Lucedale on Thursday and sweeping East Central 3-0.
The Lady Rebels travel to Bay St. Louis Tuesday night to face home-standing OLA in a big early season match-up.
