Stone paid a visit to Brett Favre Field and ruined the debut of new Hancock head coach Mikey King Friday night with a 31-13 road win.
Tomcat running back Ayden Green ran roughshod over the Hawks defense, dashing his way to 273 yards on the ground and three scores and, he also hauled in an 80-yard screen pass from quarterback Zander Howard for a score.
Green had a 37-yard scoring scamper in the first half to put Stone up 10-0 at halftime.
His 50-yard touchdown run less than a minute into the third frame made it 17-0.

Green then sprinted 94-yards for a score on a third and 24 situation from his own 6-yard line, and closed out the scoring for the Tomcats with that long catch and run on the swing pass from Howard.
Hancock quarterback Kaison Koenenn accounted for both Hawks’ touchdowns on short scoring runs. He went 27-of-45 through the air for 188 yards.

Pass Christian 49, Long Beach 14
Pass Christian recaptured the “Oyster Bowl” trophy from long-time rival Long Beach Friday night with a 49-14 win in the season-opener for both teams.
The Pirates used a potent combination of quarterback Paris Trivillion and wide out Dwight Thomas in the big win, as Trivillion threw for 250 yards and four touchdowns with Thomas hauling in 10 of those passes for 129 yards and three of the touchdowns.

St. Patrick 40, Coastal Christian Academy 0
Liam Richard broke loose for 213 yards and two touchdowns on just nine carries in leading the Fighting Irish to the win that snapped a 14-game SPHS losing streak.Richards also returned a punt for a score, as the Fighting Irish picked up a win in their season-opener for the first time in five years.
D’Iberville 14, Raleigh 6
Warrior running back Chan Harvey needed just five carries to rush for almost 90 yards and two touchdowns to pace the Warriors to a season-opening win Friday night.
The game was the first-ever meeting between the two teams on the football field. Warrior defenders Josh Johnson (14) and De’Andre Hunter (12) combined for 26 total tackles in the win, and two of Johnson’s stops were tackles for loss.

PRC 49, Bay High 0
The Blue Devils also won their first season-opener in five years thumping the visiting Tigers in Carriere.
PRC quarterback Titus Feaster ran for one touchdown and threw for two more to lead the explosive offensive attack. Kendall Morrison ran for one score and caught another, and Titus Feaster tossed his other scoring catch to his brother John Feaster, Jr.
Qorday Russell and D. Spikes also added scoring runs in the dominating win for PRC

Blue Devil defender Jacob Tuminello registered two sacks sacks.

Forrest County AHS 39, St. Stanislaus 3
The Aggies, who play seven regular season games against opponents from the “Southern Six” this season, rolled over the Rock-A-Chaws in the first of that septet.
The Aggies jumped out to a quick 5-0 score on a safety and a field goal, and the FCAHS quarterback Parks Brock broke free for a 21-yard scoring run for a 12-0 lead. 
Lee Roberts added to the Aggies lead with a one-yard run with 5:37 left until halftime to make it 18-0.

Jude Babin converted a 22-yard field goal for the Rocks only points with 2:38 left in the first half to make the score 18-3.
On the ensuing kickoff, Cleveland Thompson returned Babin’s kick 99 yards for a touchdown that made the score 25-3.
In the second half, Thompson scored on a two-yard dive and Brock connected with Terrence Horne on a 22-yard scoring toss to round out the scoring.
