BILOXI — There’s a big “Southern Six” prep volleyball showdown in Jackson County on tap Tuesday night.
Asthe Region 4-7A slate reaches the half-way point, Ocean Springs will host Biloxi in a battle for supremacy atop the league standings. The Lady Greyhounds are a perfect 5-0 in the region race so far, and sit at a solid 17-4 overall, while the Lady Indians stand 16-4 overall and sit in the second spot in the league standings at 4-1.








Arch-rival Gulfport just handed Biloxi its first league loss of the season Thursday night in a 3-0 sweep (25-16, 27-25, 25-22). The Lady Admirals sit in the third slot in the region race at 3-2, and in a tie with Harrison Central.
Meanwhile, OSHS is coming off of a 3-0 road sweep over St. Martin Thursday night. West Harrison is 4-2 in Region 4-7A play, while D’Iberville sits at 1-5 and SMHS is now 0-5.
