A new weekly feature debuts here at SouthMiss6 Sports this week with “Field Level”.
“Field Level” will be a new addition to our weekly prep sports coverage line-up on Monday’s, when we look at “7 Super Shots in the Southern 6” from the action behind the lens on the playing fields from the previous week in a compilation of images from our award-winning staff of photo/journalists they captured recently.

Let’s get shooting:
First up, in Biloxi, our Chief Photographer Bobby McDuffie grabbed this shot at the 101st all-time meeting on the football field between Biloxi and Pascagoula Friday night at The Biloxi Sports Complex.

Next, our Joe Harper hung around in A.L. May Stadium in Perkinston on the campus of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College until the end for the dramatic and exciting finish between home-standing Stone and Poplarville to capture this shot.

Not to be out done, our Steve Coleman headed to Hurley/Wade and after a stop at Lotta Burger before the Jackson County rivalry between East Central and St. Martin picked up this image at Shirley Stadium.

Our Jacob Brumfield was hunkered down in Purvis but flew high when he picked up this shot as Pass Christian toppled the Tornadoes.

At the same time, our Jesse Johnson was bunkered down in Brooklyn and snapped this shot as Forrest County AHS knocked off visiting Long Beach.

And, our Tim Isbell was on hand in Gautier Friday night as D’Iberville snapped the 20-game home win streak of the Gators and he delivered just like the Warriors did.

Next, our Destiny DeBuysere was on hand for the Ocean Springs home-opener against Petal and noticed this moment as the Panther quarterback knew they were in trouble.

IN ADDITION, most of our photo/journalists aren’t just out and about covering prep football on Friday nights, but they make a quick transition over to the collegiate sidelines on Saturdays as well. Almost every one of our staff photogs are credentialed to shoot D1 football all across the southeast.

Here, Bobby McDuffie snapped this shot Saturday night in Mobile at the Tulane-South Alabama game.

And, Saturday afternoon our Joe Harper grabbed this shot in Hattiesburg at the Southern Miss-Jackson State game.
