GULFPORT — Perennial state power OLA looks on target to win yet another state championship this year.
The Crescents ran their win streak to 10 straight by roaring through the 22 team field over the weekend to capture the Gulfport Invitation at “The Bert” on the campus of the Lady Admirals. OLA has now won 18 out of its last 19 matches and stands an impressive 25-3 on the season.







The Crescents didn’t lose a set on Saturday in five match-ups, sweeping through Bay High, George County, Oak Grove, Germantown and Gulfport all at 2-0.
In the championship against the host Lady Admirals, Taylor Henley led OLA with six kills, while Myah Favre and Kaylin Kinninburgh each added five kills apiece. Favre had four aces and three blocks, while both Henley and Favre each registered 11 assists apiece, and Kinninburgh had 11 digs.
Harper Keough had five kills for GHS, while Sidney Allen had nine digs and Lily Troisclair had 11 assists.
