A new weekly feature debuts here at SouthMiss6 Sports this year with “Field Level”.

“Field Level” will be a new addition to our weekly prep sports coverage line-up, when we look at “7 Super Shots in the Southern 6” from the action behind the lens on the playing fields from the previous week in a compilation of images from our award-winning staff of photo/journalists they captured recently.

Let’s get shooting:

First up, our Tim Isbell snapped this shot as Pass Christian slipped past East Central 35-33 Friday night at McDonald Stadium.

Next, our Steve Coleman was right in the thick of the action at War Memorial Stadium in Pascagoula as Gulfport thumped the Panthers 53-13.

Not to be outdone, our Destiny DeBuysere rolled into Greyhound Stadium and rolled out with this web gem as Ocean Springs bombed Biloxi 31-6.

Our Joe Harper was laying low in Lucedale and captured this image as George county shut out Stone 13-0.

Our Joe Venus nabbed this shot as Bay High fell to Presbyterian Christian last week.

And, last but not least, our Matt Bush captured this image as PRC handed Sumrall its first loss in exciting 28-24 fashion.

IN ADDITION, most of our photo/journalists aren’t just out and about covering prep football on Friday nights, but they make a quick transition over to the collegiate sidelines on Saturdays as well. Almost every one of our staff photogs are credentialed to shoot D1 football all across the southeast.

Here, Steve Coleman snapped this shot Saturday night in Hattiesburg at the Southern Miss.-Jacksonville State game.
