CLINTON — A total of 24 prep football “Southern Six” senior standouts were selected Wednesday morning to participate in a pair of upcoming annual all-star games as well as a trio of coaches.

That number includes a record 14 players in the prestigious Alabama/Mississippi All-Star Football Classic.

The selections for both that game and the Bernard Blackwell North/South All-Star Football Game were announced at a press conference here at the offices of the Mississippi Association of Coaches Wednesday morning.

Gulfport running back Cooper Crosby, offensive lineman Dalton Toothman of Vancleave, Jayden Ross of Ocean Springs and Mitchell Smith of Picayune and tight end Hayden Berglind all were selected on offense as was defensive linemen Nolan Wilson of Picayune, Jazzer Carter of West Harrison and Jayden Curtis of St. Martin plus linebackers Andre Peters of Gulfport and Jarrad Loper, Jr., of Pascagoula as well as defensive backs Tylan Wilson and Tomareo Johnson of Pascagoula also all will suit up for their home state in the prestigious Alabama/Mississippi All-Star Classic.

The contest will be played at 12 Noon on Saturday, December 13 at M.M. Roberts Stadium on the campus of the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg.

Also, Pearl River Central head coach John Feaster and West Harrison head coach Quincy Patrick will be assistants on the Mississippi coaching staff.

In addition, a dozen “Southern Six” products were picked for the South Roster for the annual Bernard Blackwell North/South All-Star Game.

John Feaster Jr. WR PRC

D’Lass Nunnery WR Pascagoula

Hayden Ainsworth OL Biloxi

Cohyn Meyers OL Ocean Springs

Also, Picayune head coach Cody Stogner will be a member of the South coaching staff.

The 2025 Bernard Blackwell North/South All-Star Football Game is scheduled for 11:30 AM on Saturday, December 20 at Milner Stadium in Gulfport.
