OCEAN SPRINGS — There.are 14 prep volleyball teams in the “Southern Six” still alive in the state playoffs.

Thursday night, those 14 squads will compete in 10 separate matches to decide what teams advance to the South State championship on Monday in six different classifications.

And, the big clash in the Class 7A South State semifinals between Ocean Springs and Harrison Central is this week’s “Vertical Raise Game of the Week” for SouthMiss6 Sports.

Each week during the school year, SouthMiss6 Sports will feature a “GOTW” sponsored by Vertical Raise, the premier online fundraising platform for athletic teams and associated clubs and supporters of all ages.

And this week, the prep state volleyball playoffs take center stage.
