PASS CHRISTIAN — Pass Christian took another step towards winning its first-ever region championship on the football field Friday night.
The home-standing Pirates thumped Forrest County AHS 36-8 at McDonald Stadium in Region 8-4A action. The win moves Pass to a solid 6-1 overall and 2-0 in league play.

A win over Moss Point next week will secure the top seed in the region race for the first time ever in program history for the Pirates. Not since the implementation of a state-wide playoff system 44 years ago has PCHS ever won a district or region title.
In contrast, Pass Christian has to go back 50 years, to the 1975 season, when the Pirates went 10-0 in the regular season and won the Pascagoula River Conference to compare what a league title would mean.
Friday night, junior Pass Christian quarterback Paris Trivillion accounted for over 350 yards of total offense and five touchdowns in leading the Pirates to the win over the Aggies.

Trivillion threw for 304 yards and three scores, hooking up with Amarie James on two touchdown passes and wide out Dwight Thomas on another.
Larkin Lewis was Trivillion’s favorite target with seven catches for 99 yards, while James hauled in six catches for 98 yards and the two scores and Thomas had five receptions for 78 yards and the one touchdown.
Trivillion also ran for 56 yards and two touchdowns,
Forrest County dropped to 1-1 in the region race and 4-3 overall. The contest marked the 14th all-time meeting on the football field between the two teams.
