Prep Volleyball: Lady Pirates survive five set match with Poplarville to move on

Pass Christian is one step away from playing for the Class 4A prep volleyball state championship.

The Lady Pirates went on the road and survived an exciting five set all “Southern Six” affair Thursday in Poplarville out-lasting the Lady Hornets 3-2.

Pass Christian now face Newton County Monday night on the road for the Class 4A South State championship with a trip to the overall state finals on the line.

All seven MHSAA Volleyball State Championships (presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Mississippi) will take place in Clinton at A.E. Wood Coliseum on the campus of Mississippi College on October Thursday and Friday.

  • 2025 MHSAA Volleyball State Championships (presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Mississippi)
  • Thursday, October 16: 3A (10:00 am) / 5A (~12:00 pm) / 4A (~2:00 pm) / 7A (~4:00 pm)
  • Friday, October 17: 6A (10:00 am) / 1A (~12:00 pm) / 2A (~2:00 pm)
