ST. MARTIN — D’Iberville’s dominance on the football field over longtime arch-rival St. Martin continued Friday night.
The Warriors took their seventh straight win over the Yellow Jackets 46-10 here at Joe Barlow Stadium on the SMHS campus in Region 4-7A play. The win moves DHS to a solid 7-1 overall, and more importantly 3-1 in the region race, while St. Martin drops to 5-3 overall and 1-3 in league play.
The loss severely damages the playoff hopes for the Yellow Jackets, who haven’t qualified for the postseason since 2018. The decision also marked the 21st win in the past 22 meetings for D’Iberville between these two teams dating back to the 2004 season.

The Warriors then recovered an on-sides kickoff and Walley hit Jay Allen on an 11-yard touchdown pass to make it 40-3 just :22 seconds later and set the running clock in place.
The second half on-slaught by DHS just continued its dominance from the first two quarter.

First, on D’Iberville;s second possession of the game, Walley hit wide out Malachai Knight on a 76-yard scoring strike to give the Warriors a lead they would never relinquish at 7-0 with 5:33 to play in the opening frame.
Then, on the very next DHS offensive play from scrimmage, Walley was right back at it with a 51-yard touchdown toss to wide out Thomas Gautreaux and it was 13-3 at the 9:45 mark of the second stanza.

That scoring play was set up by a 45-yard kickoff return from K.J. Washington after a St. Martin field goal.
The final score of the first half was a nifty 61-yard scoring scamper by DHS running back Chan Harvey with 7:33 to go before halftime.
The Yellow Jackets moved inside the red zone three times in the first half, but could come away with only three points on a 21-yard field goal by David Jalanivich, Jr.
