BILOXI — Home-standing Biloxi celebrated Homecoming by stopping a four game losing streak Friday night.
The Indians smashed Harrison Central 31-6 in Region 4-7A action. The win gives BHS its first region win of the year, as it stands 2-5 overall and 1-2 in the region race.
The Red Rebels fall to 1-6 overall and 1-3 in league play with the loss.


Biloxi wasted no time in taking a quick lead as tailback Jo Jo Thomas scored on a 9-yard run mid-way through the opening quarter to make it 7-0.
The Indians took a 10-0 lead into halftime thanks to a 25-yard field goal by Edgar Martinez.
Biloxi took command in the second half on a 22-yard scoring pass from quarterback Jordan Ramsey to wide out Ahvin Magee. Cam Smith added the two-point conversion to make it 18-0 with three minutes to play in the third quarter.
Indian running back Marquez Metcalf made it 24-0 on a 22-yard scoring scamper on the first play of the fourth frame.


Biloxi sophomore quarterback Broderick Andrews ended the scoring with just under six minutes to play on a 1-yard keeper.
Harrison Central got 147 yards passing and a touchdown pass out of sophomore quarterback Kaleb Russell. His scoring pass was a 72-yard bomb to Ke’Adrian brown, but Russell also threw three interceptions.
