BAY ST. LOUIS — Jordan Walley of D’Iberville gets the “Baria Law Firm Game Ball of the Week” as presented by SouthMiss6 Sports this week.
Every week throughout the end of the school year, we will honor student/athletes across the “Southern Six” with our “Game Ball of the Week” sponsored by David Baria, Attorney-Mediator.
Walley, the versatile junior standout for the Warriors, has seen action on both sides of the ball for most of the season in helping lead DHS to a 7-1 record so far which is the best start in four years.

It was on offense, however, that Walley really made a difference in a 46-10 thrashing of home-standing St. Martin last week. The DHS quarterback went 9-of-13 passing for 301 yards with four touchdown passes, and he added 90 yards rushing on just four carries and added a touchdown on the ground as well in the Region 4-7A win.
Walley and his Warriors are also 3-1 in the region race, as they enjoy an open date this week. After the off week, D’Iberville heads to historic Milner stadium in Gulfport next week in a battle that will ultimately decide the top seed in the region for the upcoming Class 7A South State playoffs.
Walley is looking to lead DHS to back-to-back berths in the state playoffs, as the Warriors go in search of their first postseason win in five years since nipping Petal 33-31 at the end of the Covid season of 2020.
