The top four seeds are set in Region 8-4A after play Friday night.
Also, in Class 5A, East Central is in dire need of a region win.
In Region 8-4A, Forrest County thumped visiting Bay High 34-0 while Greene County won on the road at Moss Point under a similar situation 35-0.
Those two outcomes set up a battle for the second spot in the region race next week on Thursday night when the Aggies host the Wildcats in the regular season finale for both teams.

Pass Christian, which clinched the Region 8-4A title last week, stepped outside of league play and stopped visiting West Marion Friday night 28-7.
Also, Moss Point has secured the fourth and final seed for postseason purposes despite the loss Friday night thanks to its 14-13 win over Bay High several weeks ago.
The loss to Greene County was the final regular season game for MPHS, which sits 2-7 overall heading into the upcoming Class 4A South State playoffs.
