LYMAN — The Harrison Central girls basketball team has gotten off to a quick start under second-year head coach Sandra Rushing this season.
The Lady Rebels are 5-0 entering week three of the new campaign, after thumping Moss Point 59-24 Saturday.
Junior 6-foot-3 standout HCHS center Saniyah Murray had a game-high 24 points to lead the Lady Rebels.
“Murray is much improved from last season,” MPHS head coach Ethan Porter said. “She runs the floor extremely hard and rebounds the ball at an elite level. We tried to be as physical as possible with her. We tried to make her uncomfortable at all times. She was still able to make her impact in the game. She’s a nationally ranked player, and she showed us why.”
