D’IBERVILLE — West Harrison and Pascagoula meet in a big early season boys basketball “Southern Six” showdown Monday night.
The Panthers and Hurricanes face off in the final game of the day at the annual D’Iberville Thanksgiving Tournament. West Harrison comes in at a perfect 7-0, while Pascagoula sits at 4-2 and brings a two game win streak into the week.

Both teams are coming off wins over the weekend. West Harrison took down Presbyterian Christian 51-43 Saturday morning in the second game of the annual Richton Invitational.
Logan Robinson led the Hurricanes with 15 points, while JaMarcus McCaleb added 12 points and Kameron Bolden and Deandre Weston chipped in 10 points apiece for WHHS. McCaleb also dished out eights assists and Hayden Boggs pulled down six rebounds.
The Hurricanes were coming off of a 55-41 road win over Columbia also on the road two days before that. Robinson had 13 points to lead the way in that one, while Bolden added 10 points and Weston nine to the winning effort.
Boggs had nine boards against the Wildcats and McCaleb seven assists.

Meanwhile, Pascagoula was on the road as well Saturday afternoon and beat Brandon 63-49 at the annual “The Jump” event at Madison Central High.
The Panthers placed four players in double digits in a very balanced scoring attack to bounce the Bulldogs. Marcus Cooper and Blake Nettles each tallied 15 points apiece for PHS, while Evan Beck and Tamir Boykin also chipped in 14 points apiece to the winning effort.
Pascagoula was coming off another road win two days prior with a 53-36 win over home-standing Hattiesburg.
Both Boykin and Cooper registered 13 points apiece in the win over the Tigers while Nettles added 12 points.
