MERIDIAN — Both Pascagoula and D’iberville played one last tune up here over the weekend before respective region play starts for each this week.

And the Panthers and Warriors experienced much different results.

Pascagoula clipped Jackson Forrest Hill 39-27 while the host Meridian squad dumped D’Iberville 61-38. Both games were part of the annual Meridian Class one day tournament.

The host Wildcats, in the final game of the seven contest event, jumped out to a quick 15-6 lead over the Warriors after the first quarter and really never looked back.
