STARKVILLE — After producing one of the top offensive outputs in the state this season, Hancock standout senior signal-caller Kaison Koenenn has earned a huge honor.

.Koenenn was selected as the Class 6A Offensive Player of the Year on the All-State First Team unit in that classification over the weekend. The prestigious annual award is voted on voted on by coaches around the state who are members of the Mississippi Association of Coaches. 

Koenenn accounted for over almost 4,000 yards of total offense and 40 touchdowns through the air and on the ground combined this year.

Koenenn sits atop a First Team squad that also featured seven other “Southern Six” standouts as well. He’s joined on offensive by a pair of Picayune players in running back Xavier Dennis as well as offensive lineman Mitchell Smith. On defense, Maroon Tide lineman Nolan Wilson leads the way and a trio of Pascagoula Panthers were selected as well in linebacker Jarrad loper and defensive backs Tylan Wilson and Lavell Adams.

In addition, ix other “Southern Six” products were named Class 6A All-State Second Team as well. Those players are listed by position below.
